Price:
FreeThe Ghanaian telecommunication landscape is one of the most competitive in Africa. With a population of over 30 million, a mobile penetration rate of over 131%, 4 major MNOs and 4 stand-alone 4G data service providers, the industry still remains fiercely competitive.
Despite the tremendous growth in the industry, only 46.5% of the population has access to the internet; and though global advancements have proven the significance of internet connectivity, there is still a huge gap in accessibility, affordability and availability.
The current COVID-19 pandemic has shown how important it is for economies to have stronger digital infrastructure. It has brought to bear the significant role digitalisation plays in helping businesses scale up and grow and the importance of connectivity in the 21st century. Unfortunately, many are unable to jump on this digital train and connect with the world, thus posing a challenge to the global digital agenda.
A keen focus of the Ghanaian government is enhancing digitalisation in Ghana and ensuring that Ghanaians are not left out the global digital wave. In this talk, Rosy will describe the evolution of the telecommunications sector in Ghana, the role Busy has played and how it plans to contribute towards ensuring connectivity for all in Ghana and helping businesses grow.
